Moy Park tops business list

Poultry giant Moy Park has been named Northern Ireland's top business in the Belfast Telegraph Top 100 Companies list published in March. The food processing company, with headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland has 12 sites throughout the UK, France and the Netherlands, including three sites in Northern Ireland. The Belfast Telegraph Top 100 Companies list is compiled based on employee numbers and turnover. Moy Park, owned by Brazilian-based Marfrig, employs 10,500 people across its 12 sites and is one of Europe's leading poultry companies. Moy Park is Ireland's number one fresh and breaded chicken brand and is Bord Bia quality assured. Nigel Dunlop, Moy Park Managing Director said, "To be named as number one in the Belfast Telegraph Top 100 Companies list is a great accolade. Moy Park has a long history of producing Irish chicken, with the company being established in 1943. We've grown a lot since then, but we have always maintained our roots in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and have invested heavily in our products, our facilities and our farming base here." "Our parent company Marfrig has given the company a global perspective and they have just published extremely positive year end results. Moy Park has always placed a strong focus on quality and provenance, and all our Moy Park branded products throughout Ireland are made with 100% Irish chicken. We believe in the Moy Park brand and continually invest in the brand. We have just launched a new advertising campaign that showcases how our products fit into our consumers busy lifestyles, by creating fast meals without sacrificing on flavour."
