Reporting to the Parent Stock Breeder Manager, you will oversee parent stock during both laying and rearing period to ensure birds are managed to company standards and provide support for Company and Contract Farm Managers.
The successful candidate will work with Parent Stock Breeder Manager to ensure that budgets and costings are met and to produce maximum quality viable hatching eggs, ensuring their areas of responsibility are managed efficiently and cost effectively in line with agreed performance targets. You will work with parent Stock Breeder Manager on labour requirements and staff training in conjunction with the Human Resources department, ensure staff work safely and in a safe environment and meet agreed standards of production and evaluate production programmers.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum five years’ experience in Breeder Farm Management or Farm Technical role
Organisational skills
Clean driving licence
Computer literate
Understanding of the key performance areas of the breeder operation
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of grievance and disciplinary procedures
Previous experience in a leadership/managerial role
Experience of budgeting and financial processes
