Job Purpose:
·         Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with MP competency framework.
·         Plan, direct, and coordinate quality assurance programs and formulate quality control policies for welfare, hygiene and chick quality.
·         To be instrumental in maintaining and improving the standards of hatchability, chick quality, hygiene, chick welfare and overall hatchery performance.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Monitor and improve the incubation process and result.
Assess customer requirements and ensure that these are met whilst being the principle liaison for customer relations.
Complete / manage technical reports - recording, analysing, and distributing statistical information.
Manage and work with operations and hygiene staff to establish procedures, standards and systems.
Work in conjunction with the technical function to maintain compliance with Assurance Schemes and Customer COPS.
As part of the management team provide operational management cover for Production Managers.
The successful candidate will be a sound decision maker, have demonstrable people management skills, along with excellent communications skills.  He / she will act professionally and lead by example.  Budget management experience is desirable.
Previous Hatchery Management experience is essential, as is a full driving licence.
